Strengthen Our Nation Through a Moral Foundation

My name is Emil Therianos. I started this blog because of my concerns for our nation, the world, and especially our children. I believe much of our U.S. culture is losing moral values that once gave strength to our nation. We hear of so much cheating in business, people causing harm to one another, people disregarding appropriate sexuality standards, even rejecting the God who created us. These are just a few examples.​

These trends cannot continue without a resulting collapse of many aspects of the American way of life that we take for granted. Our peace and comfort are at risk, perhaps even our very souls. I believe that freedom and diversity, without a uniting moral foundation, will eventually lead to chaos and destruction.​

While this blog is not focused on religion, religion and morality are quite inseparably connected and therefore will be referenced when relevant. My focus is unity. This blog is an attempt to unite people of various ideological, religious, and philosophical groups by encouraging a common moral standard that we can all agree on and share.​

Three main concepts form this foundation:

- Love people
- Keep passions in their proper place
- Seek truth


For the most part, these are values that most of us should be able to agree on. If the majority of our nation adopted these values as a foundation to our lives, no matter what other differences we might have, we would still be able to peacefully work together for the good of all.​


This blog is only the tip of the iceberg regarding my vision. My hope is to expand, with your support, to create an organization with the same goal of unity and to work to develop future generations whose moral values are stronger and more worthy than our own.​


Although I will here express my views, in time I hope to include information from scientific studies to support the moral ideals discussed here. This is just a beginning, a work in progress. I welcome any comments or suggestions. I feel this idea is so important and I am convinced that it is time to strengthen our nation through a moral foundation!
